Mould cleaning Townsville
We find what's causing the mould, remove it, and tell you what needs fixing so it doesn't come back.
Where's the mould?
Mould only grows where there's moisture. Where it shows up tells you a lot about where the water is coming from.
On the ceiling
Usually a roof leak, an air conditioner dripping inside the ceiling, or steam from a bathroom with a weak exhaust fan. We find the source, treat the mould and replace plasterboard it has grown into.

In the bathroom
A bathroom that never dries out grows mould across the ceiling, walls and door frames. We clean it off, treat it, and tell you what to change so the room dries properly.

On walls and behind furniture
Often a plumbing leak inside the wall, or damp air trapped behind furniture against an outside wall. We find the moisture first, then remove the mould from the wall and clean or remove affected furniture.

Carpet and walls that stay wet for more than a couple of days often grow mould. We treat the mould and dry out what's still wet. See our water damage restoration page.

Wiping dry mould spreads spores through the house. Bleach can make it look clean, but it doesn't kill mould in plasterboard or timber, so it comes back.

Mould cleaning Townsville FAQs
Something else? Ring 07 4725 6256, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Should I wipe the mould off before you come?
No. Wiping dry mould puts spores into the air, and bleach doesn't kill mould in porous surfaces like plasterboard. Leave it, keep the door shut and send us a photo.
What causes mould?
Moisture. In Townsville that usually means a plumbing leak, a leaking roof, an air conditioner, or just the humidity.
Do you need to cut out plasterboard?
Sometimes. If mould has grown into the plasterboard it can't be cleaned out and has to be replaced. Mould on paint, tiles and timber can usually be treated where it is.
Will it come back?
Not if the moisture problem is fixed. We'll tell you what caused it. Our article on why mould keeps coming back goes through the usual causes.
